Valencia

Regarding the number of inhabitants, Valencia is the third city of Spain (Madrid and Barcelona are lager). Since it's on the Mediterranean coast it always has nice weather.

The fiestas

You are never bored in Valencia because there's a lot of action for those who like to party. The most important fiestas are the las fallas and Cristianos y Moros (Christans and Moors).

Las fallas

The name of this fiesta refers to the large statues which are built and later burnt every year. The fiesta takes place in the beginning of March are lasts two weeks. You find more information about this fiestas on the page of las fallas.

Cristianos y moros

The Iberian Peninsula was dominated by Arab people some 800 years ago, something which has influenced Spain and the Spanish culture. This fiesta is celebrated to remember their traditions.

Sports

Football, footbal and even more football - you soon recognise which is the most popular sport in Spain. Spain has some of the best teams in the world, among them Real Madrid F.C. Barcelona and F.C. Valencia.
