Wizball Wizball - ReviewWizball from c64 is one of the most innovative games that I have seen on the C64. The game was designed by Chris Yates & Jon Hare, who also programmed games like c64 and c64. The title screen Your missionYou are a ball which is trapped in a world robbed from its colours. You have to pick up the colour drops so that the world once again can be that colourful it used to be. Per definition, as a ball you bounce, and it's not all that easy to control the movements. Some tips before we get started Of course, not everything has to be easy. In the world of Wizball there also are a lot of enemies that do their best to prevent you for fulfilling your objective. We're doing some bouncing here But luckily, you can pick up magical items and improve the odds to fulfil your objective. The items give you more fire power and the ability to control your movements better. Aargggh! The ball seems to be loaded with explosives Overall impressionThe graphics are very good indeed and everything moves very smoothly. The programmer has taken advantage of the screen borders to show the score and this means that you can see a lot of what is going on in the part of the stage where you are. The music is nothing extraordinary but goes well with the ambience of the games. I think the games is somewhat repetitive, but it's without doubt it's one of the most original and best games for the C64. RatingThis is my personal rating of this game.
